Ravi Singh
Ravinder Singh (Ravi) born on 16 September 1969 is a British Sikh humanitarian and Founder of the international non-profit aid and relief organization Khalsa Aid. Ravi has been working as a humanitarian since 1999, when he had the idea of taking the concept of langar aka Sikh community Kitchen to regions of the world that needed it the most with the hope that it will help to rekindle people’s trust in humanity.
Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal
Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, Sikh Harris County Sheriff’s deputy, was shot while conducting a traffic stop, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. He was in his early 40s.
Ed Gonzalez said Sandeep Dhaliwal, a 10-year veteran of the department, stopped a vehicle with a man and woman inside and one of them got out and shot him “ambush-style” at least twice in a “ruthless, cold-blooded way.”

She is 22 and completely badass. This Indian-American is the first turban-wearing Sikh woman in the NYPD. Meet Gursoch Kaur who upon graduating from the New York Police Academy this became the force’s first turban wearing recruit. There are just under 2000 Sikh police officers in the NYPD, of them 10 are women but only one, Gursoch, wears a turban.
